UK heat wave

This resource focuses on a recent extreme weather event in the UK. It takes the form of an independent web enquiry, allowing students to research the heat wave of June 2017. Student use the web links provided to complete a case study sheet, on this extreme event. This could be followed up by students completing one of the two optional activities including an exam-style question or presentation task.

Also included within this resource are detailed teaching notes including guidance for management of the different tasks, mark schemes and suggested extension and differentiated tasks.
