A starter activity where students look at nine images of rivers and have to identify which stage of the river long profile they are likely to appear in. They are required to determine whether it is located in the upper, middle or lower course of the river through analysing the photographs and the landforms and features they can see. Answers are included on the last slide of the PowerPoint.
